With miles of beautiful beaches and a good stretch of road - you can't resist a good cycle if you're going to the festival - take on the Whisky trail - (click here for Islay bike hire ). From tales of festivals past; the population of Islay more than doubles for the festival - the calling of music and malts is an irresistible thought for whisky pilgrims around the country.
All distilleries will open their doors to the public for daily tastings, there's golf, bowing ceilidhs and Gaelic lessons and proper good music! The festival will commence the week of May 25th- 2nd June.
