Here at The Cycle Jersey we are very pleased to announce the addition of a new charity to our website- The Ledge! 

The Ledge is a brand new state of the art climbing centre and community focused charity which is coming to Inverness soon and will support those in the Highlands and beyond. 

It is destined to become Scotland’s national bouldering centre of excellence, The Ledge will provide world-class indoor climbing right in the heart of the Highlands – yet it promises to be so much more than simply a climbing facility.

It is an adventure sports charity with an ethos that’s deeply rooted in community and inclusion, The Ledge has a genuine point of difference - aka the power to effect positive change.

The founders of The Ledge had their own lives transformed by climbing and they are determined to pay this forward. The Ledge’s goal is to empower those in need - all through the awesome activity of climbing.

The social and community programmes available will reach directly into the community to offer a fresh vertical perspective to those struggling in a complex world. And they aim is to provide life skills, training, mentoring, and support by working with individuals to help develop important qualities such as teamwork, resilience, confidence, awareness, empathy, accountability and communication skills.

So no matter whether you’re experiencing climbing for the first time or are a seasoned pro, The Ledge will offer a safe space for all; a supportive community that believes in enabling and inspiring individuals to explore their limits, reach for the top and strive to become the best possible version of themselves.

The Cycle Jersey have helped to design and manufacture their first range of merchandise including branded organic hoodies, t-shirts and caps! All profits from each sale will go to support the charity and wearing The Ledge merchandise will help spread the word and hopefully build momentum for the project.
